Cheech and Chong's first 'hit' movie, 'Up in Smoke' is a popular comedy for the red-eyed generation. Tommy Chong plays Anthony Stoner a jobless hippy who is kicked out of home by his father and manages to coerce Pedro (Cheech) into picking him up off the side of a highway by posing as a woman with large breasts. They both share a large spliff and are arrested when they are discovered stoned by a police officer. After they are released from jail, the outrageous pair begin their search for green pastures and good grass.
