Jack Johnson
Jack Johnson was born May, 18, 1975 on the north shore of Oahu, Hawaii. Before Jack Johnson the musician, Jack was a professional surfing phenomenon and was a poster child for
Quicksilver. Jack started playing the guitar when he was 14 years old, but it wasn't until he attended the University of Santa Barbara that he would take his music career seriously. There, Jack played
rhythm guitar for the hippie rock group "Soil." A few years later, Jack Johnson's sultry debut, Brushfire Fairytales was released in 2001. Since, Jack has released three other albums including On And On,
In Between Dreams, and Curious George Soundtrack. Some of Jack Johnson's influences are Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Tribe Called Quest, and Otis Redding to name a few.
